Midnight and still typing

Well, it's slightly past midnight, and my fingers are still feverish for this book!
I must admit that I was very disappointed with losing my book on my crashed laptop, but I have since lengthened the story! It has drastically improved! I'm researching ways to reach out to those who would be more likely to enjoy my books. There are many different ways to connect to the world.
The ways of marketing have drastically advanced over the years. Social media sites such as facebook, and of course twitter, make it easy to connect to hundreds, even thousands.
Blogs such as this one can be distributed through more than just wordpress. There's blogger, tumblr, google +, and even instagram!
I'm coming to accept the fact that a steady fan base is not created over night. It was hard to swallow at first, but now it gives me motivation to work harder.
The most important thing I have to come to realize is: No matter what, never give up!
Rome wasn't built in a day, and you can't reach a billion people in one hour if they've never heard of you. Just be yourself, and stay public. You will find the right ones to follow you and from there your fan base will multiply!

Bump in the road.. or an exciting challenge?

So, while being super excited about Christmas..

My laptop decides to kick the bucket...

    Hm.. roadblock? Maybe, but I like tonthink of myself as an optimist!! Everything happens for a reason, right? Perhaps, i need to take a moment to evaluate the route I was taking with my next novel, The tunnel. I believe I am going to leave the teaser alone.     Now, back to my roadblock.
    It did give me a chance to look over my notes, and decide that my book should be a LOT longer. So, in the end, this bump in the road created a valuable  change in my perspective.
    The book will continue, although the release date will most likely be near the end of January.

Christmas Blues

I guess it isn't always easy to be an ASPIRING author, lol. It means that I'm hoping to become a good author. I don't think my problem is really writing the book.. I think it's more of a problem with exposing it. There are so many people in this world.. so how do you stop them and say, here look! It kind of makes me wonder how much brilliance has been trampled over and lost within the mass of media traffic. Now, on a brighter note, my family and I have truly enjoyed today. We weren't really able to give each other anything, but our three year old had a blast. That's what we were wanting. It's heartbreaking to see how we struggle every week.. and we make decent money, we're pipe fitters! We were so scared that we wouldn't be able to give our son a good christmas. So, seeing the way his face has lit up and how much he has enjoyed today, has truly been a blessing. Well, wanted to write something longer, but have a feeling that I will be working on this next book all of this evening tonight!
